“Wait four more years and you’d be free to commit any cr”ime you want.”

That’s what my sister told her friends when talking about me studying law. 😂
I understand where the joke comes from, but it also made me think about how people sometimes see lawyers: courtrooms, arguments, wigs and litigation.

And yes, litigation is an important part of lawyering. It’s a skill I’ll learn and one I intend to be good at too. Infact I can’t shy from it.

But my interest in law extends beyond the courtroom.

Before coming to study Law, I had already built a community around myself of artists, writers, developers and designers, and they watched me take a new trajectory into law.

I always tell them:

“I’ll be back for you guys.”

Because I don’t see my previous experiences as something I left behind.
I’ve worked in media, I write, I design graphics, I build websites, I work with web infrastructure and AI, I’ve created and managed digital platforms.

Interestingly, just one month in the Premium Law Students Community (PLSC) and the sessions facilitated by Gladys Ogo have already helped me connect many of these pieces in ways I hadn’t considered before.

Following our sessions, PLSC started a 30-Day Consistency Challenge and I hopped on because I want to be intentional.
